Man flown to VCU after shooting in Nottoway County

Nottoway County, Va. (WRIC) — The Nottoway County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left a man injured Sunday night.

Authorities say the shooting happened April 7th at 8:35 pm. on the 500 block of Robertson Road in the Blackstone are of the county.

The victim, identified as 35-year-old James David Oliver, was discovered by a relative that lives with him.

Oliver was treated at the scene by members of Nottoway Emergency Squad and Blackstone First Responders, then was later med-flighted to VCU Medical Center.

His condition is unknown.

Investigators believe this is an isolated incident.
