CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WRIC) — Singer, songwriter, and philanthropist Pharrell Williams will return to the Commonwealth to speak at the University of Virginia.
Williams, a Virginia Beach native, will be the keynote speaker at the 2019 Valedictory Exercises. He’s scheduled to address the graduating class on May 17.
The event will be held on the UVA Lawn. It is free and open to the public.
If there is inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to the John Paul Jones Arena. Seating in the arena will be on a first-come, first-served basis, with doors opening at 1:30 p.m.
