Police investigating after windows shot out at Glen Allen High School

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Police in Henrico County suspect someone shot up parts of Glen Allen High School with a BB or pellet gun.

In a message to parents, school officials explained they found glass doors shattered near the bus loop as well as damage to a classroom window.

Good morning Glen Allen families,

By now some of you may have heard about or seen photos of some damaged glass doors near the bus loop, as well as a damaged classroom window. Thank you for reaching out, and please know that we share your concerns. We discovered the damage this morning, and so we contacted Henrico Police for assistance. We are currently reviewing surveillance footage to figure out with certainty what occurred, and to see if we can identify the person or people responsible. Be assured that we will take appropriate action against the person or people responsible.

The incident did not occur during school hours.

Police told 8News they suspect someone shot the building with a BB or pellet-style gun late Wednesday evening or overnight.
