1 dead, 1 seriously hurt in I-95 crash in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Virginia State Police say one person is dead and another is seriously hurt following a crash on Interstate 95 Thursday morning.

Investigators say that around 2:30 a.m., a Lexus was coming onto a curve on I-95 south near the Boulevard exit, hit a jersey wall and overturned several times.

Two people were thrown from the car; one woman died and a man was taken to the hospital.

State troopers say they weren’t wearing seatbelts, and do not know who was driving at this time.

The crash remains under investigation.
