RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Authorities say two people were injured in a crash on Interstate 95 in Richmond.
It happened at about 6:45 a.m. Thursday on northbound I-95 at exit 79.
According to Virginia State Police, a car tried to take exit 79 at the last minute, causing it to swerve, hit a box truck and then go down an embankment.
The driver and passenger of the car were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash caused a several mile traffic backup. It has since been cleared.
