Police ID 3 killed in motorcycle crash on I-95 South in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va (WRIC) — Virginia State Police have identified the three people killed after four motorcycles crashed at the ramp from Maury Street to southbound I-95.

VSP said they responded to the crash at 6:40 p.m. Saturday night. Police said their investigation revealed that the four motorcycles were traveling down the ramp, lost control, veered left and hit the guardrail.

Seven people were ejected from the motorcycles. VSP said they believe that the occupants were wearing helmets.

John Todt and Roxann Todt, of Mckenney, Virginia were riding on the same motorcycle. They both died at the scene.

Teresa Sexton, of Petersburg, was a passenger on another motorcycle. She died after being taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Four other victims were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Virginia State Police said speed is being considered a factor into the cause of this crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
