RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond fire crews were called to 1800 block of Joplin Avenue for a fire Friday night, hours after emergency crews were called to the same street to extinguish a blaze.
Just before 8 p.m., firefighters arrived to find smoke visible from the two-story home on southside block in the city. There, crews searched the home. No one was inside. The fire was marked under control by fire officials.
About three hours earlier, crews were called to the same two-story home in the 1800 block of Joplin Avenue for a fire.
Richmond Fire says they were able to rescue a dog from the home. No other injuries were reported.
A fire investigation is underway.
