RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A car caught on fire around 6:30 a.m. this morning on Midlothian Turnpike.

The fire happened near the Goodwill store on the 6300 block of Midlothian Turnpike. On scene, crews noticed thick black smoke and flames from beneath the vehicle.

Crews were able to put the fire out and two lanes on the road were closed. The road has since been reopened.
