Driver charged after crashing into GRTC Pulse stop

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A woman was charged after she lost control of her vehicle and crashed into one of the new GRTC Pulse stops in downtown Richmond Wednesday night. 

Richmond Police tell 8News they responded shortly after 9:30 p.m. to a reported crash in the 2600 block of West Broad Street.

The driver told officers she lost control of her vehicle and struck a GRTC Pulse pedestrian rail.

There were no reported injuries. 

The driver was charged at the scene, according to police. 

The GRTC Pulse project is scheduled to begin service on Sunday, June 24.
