Gunshots fired at Richmond Halloween party

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A Halloween party in Richmond’s Carver neighborhood ended with gunshots being fired into the air.

Around 11:17 p.m. on Wednesday, Richmond Police were called to W. Moore and Kinney Streets for a report of random gunfire. Officers say they got about five calls about random gunfire in the neighborhood on Halloween night.

As the party was breaking up, police say, people started shooting into the air.

Officers tell 8News no one was injured and no property was damaged.

VCU Police and Richmond Police are both investigating. However, police tell 8News they do not believe VCU students were at the party.
