Police: Man stabbed to death in parking lot of Southside Richmond apartment complex

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A homicide investigation is underway after police found a man stabbed to death in the parking lot of a South Richmond apartment complex early Monday morning.

Police were called around midnight to the driveway of an apartment complex on the 6700 block of Carnation Street and found 58-year-old Charles L. Whittle, of various hotel addresses, suffering from an apparent stab wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death.
