Multi-vehicle crash on I-95 North in Richmond clear

UPDATE: According to VDOT, all lanes have reopened and the scene is clear.

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 North is causing backups across Richmond.

According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, the crash took place at mile marker 78, just before the Arthur Ashe Boulevard exit. The northbound right lane is currently closed.

Traffic is currently backed up at near the I-95/I-64 interchange downtown. Drivers are asked to use alternate routes.
