Multi-vehicle crash on I-95 causes delays, 4-mile backup in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 caused delays for drivers in the city of Richmond.

The crash was first reported by VDOT around 8:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8, and was located on I-95 South near the Hermitage Road exit.

According to VDOT, the south right lane and right shoulder were closed. The south exit ramp was also narrowed. At one point, there was a four-mile-long backup.

The scene was marked clear by VDOT and all lanes were reopened around 10 a.m.
