RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A woman has non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting just two blocks from the Richmond Police Department headquarters in downtown Richmond.

According to the Richmond Police Department, officers responded to the corner of West Broad Street and North Adams Street at around 3:21 a.m. on Nov. 1.

A woman was found at the scene with a gunshot wound. She was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers from the Virginia Commonwealth University Police Department also responded to the scene, which was roughly five blocks away from campus.
