Refunds issued from gas station caught price gouging during Colonial Pipeline shutdown

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) A Richmond gas station has been forced to give refunds to some customers after it was caught price gouging during the Colonial Pipeline shutdown in May.

The station on Williamsburg Rd. was charging $6.99 for a gallon of gas at the time.

The store has since given refunds to some 152 people and paid more than $2,800 in attorney’s fees.
