RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Richmond Public School Board will meet Monday to discuss rezoning and plans for its buildings.
The goal is to create new zones to cut down on overcrowding, and come up with a plan for vacant buildings owned by the school system.
The board will also get an update from the state regarding the partnership between RPS and the Dream Academy — a private organization for adult students.
The state currently says it does not support RPS awarding adult high school diplomas based on credits through the Dream Academy.
Monday’s meeting is set to start at 6 p.m. at City Hall. Stay with 8News for updates.
