Water main break blocks streets in Richmond’s Carver neighborhood

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Crews with the Richmond Department of Public Utilities are working to fix a water main break impacting West Leigh Street, West Clay Street and Hancock Street.

The Richmond DPU shared video of the water rushing onto Leigh Street on Friday afternoon.

The department is urging drivers to avoid the area.

There are people working at the corner of West Clay Street and Hancock Street to repair the break.
