RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond Police helped reunite a 12-pound Yorkshire Terrier named Couture with her owners on Wednesday after the dog was reportedly taken from her home in the 2800 block of Garland Avenue almost a week ago.

Couture went missing on May 30, but the report wasn’t filed until June 3, Richmond Police said. A local volunteer with Save a Yorkie Rescue said it is common for Yorkshire Terriers to go missing in the Richmond area to be used at ‘bait’ for dogfights.

8News’ Morgan Dean received a Facebook post from Couture’s owner after they got reunited.
