Rotary club hosts charity cornhole tournament

Local News

RICHMOND, Va., (WRIC) — The River City Rotary Club in Richmond hosted its annual cornhole tournament Saturday to benefit the Rotary Foundation and other area charities.

Now in its seventh year, the tournament draws more than 20 teams to compete at the Sports Center of Richmond.

Last year River City Rotary raised $6,000 that helped benefit the Faison School and Center for Autism.

“Usually during the promotion of this event we highlight projects that we work on so people know when they show up they are doing something good in the community and in the process they have a lot of fun and laugh a lot,” said River City Rotary Club president Cara Clements.

A team from Fort Lee Credit Union won the tournament.
