PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Crews are on the scene of a massive fire at Hopewell Hardwood Sales in Prince George County.
Officials tell 8News they were called to the blaze at 5:40 p.m. and could see heavy smoke from a far distance away. They arrived on scene and found thousands of wood pallets and a forklift on fire.

A spokesperson for Prince George County Fire told 8News the blaze has consumed approximately an acre and a half of land, though crews on scene have the incident contained.
Officials plan to let the fire burn out overnight.
It is unclear at this time what caused the blaze.
There are no reported injuries.
