RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A water main break in Scott’s Addition impacted service to 20-30 homes on Tuesday, a Richmond DPU spokesperson told 8News.
The break occurred in the 3000 block of W. Leigh Street, near the intersection with Altamont Avenue, and caused some flooding.

“We are waiting for the last few underground lines to be marked so we can begin to make repairs,” a DPU spokesperson said Tuesday afternoon. “Can’t give a timeframe until we understand the nature of the break. Have to put eyes on it to make that determination if small or large break, type of repair needed, etc.”
8News learned that water service was restored for residents in the area at around 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
