Virginia's newest state park now open
STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) ---- Widewater State Park, the 38th state park in Virginia, is now open.
The Stafford County park covers more than 1,000 acres, including two miles of waterfront along the Potomac River and Aquia Creek.
More than $6 million in funding of for Widewater State Park comes Virginia Public Building Authority bonds.
Widewater is about a 1 hour and 30-minute drive from Richmond.
