Woman found shot in crashed car at McDonald’s dies at hospital

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — One of two people who was hospitalized after they were found suffering from gunshot wounds in a crashed car in a McDonald’s parking lot has died.

When officers were called to the McDonald’s in the Southside Plaza on Hull Street on Saturday night, they found a car crashed into a utility pole. Two adults inside the car were suffering from gunshot wounds, police say.

One of them, who has been identified as 20-year-old Krissia Henderson-Burrus, of Starview Lane in North Chesterfield County, succumbed to her injuries Sunday morning in the hospital.

The male victim was believed to have suffered only non-life threatening injuries. 

The Medical Examiner will determine a cause and manner of death.
