Wrong-way driver charged in Richmond crash

RICHMOND, Va (WRIC) — Police are charging a wrong-way driver for a multi-vehicle crash on E. Main Street Saturday afternoon. 

Police tell 8News, the driver of a car collided with a dump truck headed towards them at the 400 block of E.Main Street around 5:30 p.m.

The dump truck slammed into two parked cars and knocked one car into a building.

The dump truck driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say they don’t believe alcohol was a factor, but are charging the wrong-way driver with reckless driving.
