Man injured in November crash on River Road dies

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A man who was injured in a late November crash on River Road in Chesterfield County has died. 

The crash occurred at around 11:45 a.m. on Thursday, November 29. Police say a 2017 Freightliner box truck was approaching the intersection of River Road and Ivey Mill Road when it crossed the eastbound lane of River Roads and struck a 2001 Dodge Ram that was heading east. 

The driver of the Dodge, 71-year-old Harvey L. Parks, of Cattail Road, was initially transported to a local hospital with injuries that appeared to be non-life threatening, but police said Harvey succumbed to those injuries on December 4. 

The driver of the box truck, who has been identified as 26-year-old Brandon S. Adams, of Holllytree Terrace, was cited for failing to yield while making a left turn.
