CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — More than 12,000 Dominion Energy customers are in the dark Friday night after severe storms rattled parts of Central Virginia.
Multiple downed trees and heavy flooding has been reported throughout parts of Richmond and Chesterfield.
More than 12,000 Richmond/Tri-Cities customers have been affected by the power outage, according to Dominion Energy’s website.
Of the 12,000 in the dark, more than 6,000 of the reported outages exist in Henrico County. More than 2,500 are without power in Richmond, in addition to another 2,500 affected in Chesterfield.
