CLINTON, Md. (WRIC) — Officials say one person is dead and multiple others are injured after a crash involving a car, tractor-trailer and school bus in Maryland Wednesday morning.

Mark Brady, a spokesman for Prince George’s County Fire Department and EMS, told WJLA the crash at the intersection of Branch Avenue and Surratts Road in Clinton killed one and injured eight others. Some of the victims were trapped in the wreckage.

Six people were transported to the hospital with injuries that all appear to be non-life-threatening, and two others refused transport, Brady said.

Two teenage students were on board the bus at the time of the crash and were among the six transported to an area hospital.

A hazmat team is on the scene to clean up the fluids that leaked from the vehicles.
