No injuries reported following Chesterfield attic fire

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Everyone is safe after an attic fire in Chesterfield Wednesday afternoon. 

Emergency crews responded to a home in the 1800 block of Celia Cres in North Chesterfield just after 4 p..m.

Heavy flames were visible from the roof of the structure, according to Jason Elmore, a spokesman for Chesterfield Fire & EMS. 

The fire was placed under control in less than 30 minutes, Elmore said. No one was injured. 

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
