The four cake mixes were distributed for retail sale in the U.S. and are all 15.25 ounces with "best by" dates between Mar. 7, 2019 and Mar. 13, 2019.

The FDA says the DNA fingerprint found in the cake mix sample matched one linked to five cases of salmonella illnesses.

Officials say several of the affected individuals reported eating a cake mix before becoming ill.

The FDA is now investigating the facility where the cake mixes were produced.

Anyone with the recalled products is advised to throw them away or return them to the store for a refund.
