Richmond Police identify victim in Somerset Glen homicide

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond Police identified the man killed Sunday night after a shooting at the Somerset Glen apartment complex off of Westover Hills Boulevard in Richmond.

The victim, Hasheen E. Slaughter, 25, of the 8100 block of Provincetown Drive Chesterfield, was found unresponsive in the breezeway of the apartment complex with apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The area is not unfamiliar with the Richmond Police Department. In 2011, one person was killed and in 2014, two men were killed and a woman was shot in an incident.

Also just this year in March, a man survived after being shot in the face.
