A Richmond woman and a Longwood University student are among four people who were arrested in connection with a recent drug bust in Farmville that spanned several days.
8News affiliate WSET reports that the Piedmont Regional Drug and Gang Task Force executed a search warrant on Hill Street where investigators seized marijuana.
22-year-old Virginia Morgan of Richmond was arrested and charged with one felony count of possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.
Virginia State Police said further investigation led the task force to converge on a residence hall at the university where they seized an undiclosed amount of marijuana and more than $8,000 in cash.
Micah Golemon-Mercer, 21, of Alexandria, was arrested and charged with one felony count of possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.
Police said the task force then executed another search warrant the next day at another home on Hill Street where they took marijuana, hallucinogenic narcotics, and five firearms.
Tristin Harding, 21, of Chesapeake, and Charles Keenan, 21, of Virginia Beach were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of Schedule I or II illegal narcotics, and possession of a firearm while in possession of Schedule I or II narcotics.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
