RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Early Sunday morning, a source close to the Texas Longhorns basketball program informed 8News that VCU head coach Shaka Smart is their top choice to become the new head coach in Austin.

Smart led the Rams to their first A10 Tournament Championship this season and their fifth straight NCAA Tournament appearance.
