WASHINGTON (WRIC) — President Donald J. Trump announced on Friday night that the United States and Mexico have reached a signed agreement that has “indefinitely suspended” the proposed tariffs on Mexican imports that Trump said he would impose next week.

Trump, who shared the news on Twitter, said that the agreement has led Mexico to agree to “take strong measures to stem the tide of Migration through Mexico, and to our Southern Border.”

President Trump continued by saying the U.S. State Department would provide further details of the agreement.
