RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC)– Several local college football games have been moved due to the approach of Hurricane Florence.

The University of Virginia announced Tuesday its home football game against Ohio, scheduled to take place Saturday, Sept. 15 at Scott Stadium, has been relocated to Vanderbilt Stadium on the campus of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn.

The football game scheduled for Saturday, Sept 15, between Elon and William & Mary, meanwhile, has been postponed. The two schools will work closely with the Colonial Athletic Association and make every effort to reschedule the competition, but no make-up date has been identified.

JMU Athletics announced that this Saturday’s football home opener between the Dukes and Robert Morris has been moved ahead to 7 p.m. Thursday.
