VCU Police seek suspect who ‘forcefully grabbed’ woman’s buttocks


RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — VCU Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a sexual battery suspect who they say inappropriately grabbed a woman on campus over the weekend.

The incident occurred at roughly 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 10 at the University Student Commons on Floyd Avenue. Police say a woman reported that after she held a door open for the suspect near the building’s Main Street entrance, he “forcefully grabbed her buttocks” as she walked by.

The suspect is described as a 5-foot-7, 30-year-old black male with short hair and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt, denim shorts and black Nike tennis shoes with a red sole. He was captured on surveillance leaving the scene on a black moped with a possible Virginia tag 25755M.
