VCU School of Nursing receives $2.5M donation

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A couple donated $2.5 million dollars to VCU’s School of Nursing.

William E. Conway Jr., CEO of the Carlye Group and his wife Joanne donated the money to help fund need-based scholarships for undergraduate students.

According to VCU, 66 percent of the 852 students enrolled this year qualified for need-based scholarships and 62 percent of all nursing students are enrolled in the undergraduate program. 

VCU will receive the donation in $500,000 installments annually.
