RICHMOND, Va (WRIC) — The Spiders suffered two losses on Saturday to Virginia: the game and potentially top goal scorer Mitch Goldberg.

Goldberg went down in the first quarter with a left knee injury, possibly a hyper extension or torn ligament. No word yet officially on what the injury is or Goldberg’s status. After being taken to the locker room, he returned to the sideline on crutches and his knee wrapped with no ice.

Richmond has now lost all three encounters with Virginia dating back to the Spiders inaugural game as a men’s lacrosse program in 2014 at Robins Stadium against the Cavaliers.
