NAGS HEAD, N.C. (WAVY) — Firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire at the Christmas Mouse store in Nags Head on Friday, one that left at least one section of the store destroyed.

The town’s fire department said a call about the fire was received around 2:15 p.m., with firefighters from Kill Devil Hills also responding to the scene.

Early images showed the store engulfed in flames and smoke billowing into the sky. At 4:30 p.m., firefighters said the flames had been extinguished, and photos via Dixie 105.7 showed a section completely destroyed.

It’s unclear what caused the fire at this time.
