CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WRIC) – In addition to being a mother of three children and three grandchildren, Pam Stille runs a boutique art shop in Chesapeake called Three Little Blackbirds.
In Stille’s spare time, she likes to listen to, and perform, rap music.
“It’s added a lot to my life,” Stille told WVEC. “It’s not for everyone, but who cares.”
Stille’s hobby began 15-years-ago when she was encouraged to get up on stage at the restaurant. The 63-year-old has been rapping ever since.
“It’s just me,” Stille said. “I know I’m different, but I feel I am an artist in some weird way.”
Stille says she doesn’t expect people to get it, but hopes they aren’t offended.
And Stille doesn’t hold anything back when it comes to singing the proper lyrics to popular rap and hip-hop songs, which include almost all of the curse words.
“If you sit and listen to the words and not pay attention to the language, it’s a strong story,” Stille said.
