Man stands next to alleged panhandlers with "Get A Job" sign

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR News) - A man stood next to two alleged panhandlers Wednesday morning with a sign that said, "Get A Job."

A picture of the man was taken at the intersection of Hershberger Road NW and Rutgers Street NW.

The picture was posted on Facebook and got hundreds of reactions and nearly 200 comments.

Robert Furrow posted the picture and he said he didn't expect it to get that much attention.

"When I saw the sign, honestly I thought it was kind of funny," said Furrow.

"Because a lot of people I feel like have the same opinion as that guy, but he's just the one saying it. It's kind of like a not all heroes where capes kind of thing."

Furrow says he understands that sometimes people are down on their luck and in need, but that's not always the case.
