NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — A Gloucester man is in custody after police say he abducted a 17-year-old male and touched him inappropriately.

Aaron Harper, 37, of Gloucester had known the juvenile from a previous interaction, according to police. When the two met up this time, police say Harper gave the victim a smoking device, and touched him inappropriately while making inappropriate comments.

The teen contacted his father and informed him that he was at the Wawa on Beechmont Drive and Warwick Blvd.

Subsequently, police say they located the vehicle shortly after traveling in the area of Manor Road and Tara Ct. and conducted a traffic stop.

When Harper identified himself, police removed the teen from the vehicle.

After searching the vehicle, police say they located a glass smoking device containing crack.

Harper was then charged with possession of a schedule one or two drug, child neglect/abuse resulting in serious injury and contributing to delinquency of a minor.
