Tolling suspended on Chesapeake Expressway amid evacuations

Virginia News

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Tolling has been suspended on the Route 168 Chesapeake Expressway as some areas are under evacuation orders for Hurricane Florence.

Officials with the City of Chesapeake announced the suspended tolling Tuesday morning, just before a mandatory evacuation was set to go into effect for Zone A in Virginia.

The suspension of tolling on Route 168 will remain in effect until further notice, officials said.

Evacuation orders were issued Monday for portions of the Outer Banks.
