UPDATE 4/3/2019, 11 a.m.: The latest information coming in to the Richlands Police Department suggests Joshua Keen may be trying to reach Covington, Virginia. There is no word on why he may be headed there.
Anyone traveling along I-64 or the roadways connecting Lewisburg, WV and Covington, VA are advised to be on the lookout for anyone looking for a ride who matches Keen’s description.

UPDATE 4/2/2019, 5 p.m.: Police have released surveillance video pictures from the Super 8 Motel in Lewisburg which show Joshua Keen. Investigators said he now appears to have shaved his cheekbones and under his neck, but still has a beard.
There are no new sightings of Keen since the morning hours. Residents are advised to contact law enforcement or Crime Stoppers if they see him.
UPDATE 4/2/2019, 2 p.m.: New details are released in the search for a man who escaped from jail in Tazewell County, Virginia. U.S. Marshals confirmed that Joshua Keen spent the night in a room at the Super 8 Motel in Lewisburg. WV. The clerk told investigators, Keen left at around 5 a.m.
U.S. Marshals said there is evidence to show Keen may now be clean shaven. They also believe he has no transportation. Residents of the area are advised to be on the look out for hitchhikers.

A reward of $2,000 is available for any information which leads to an arrest.
Overnight, the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department recovered the flatbed truck operated by Joshua Keen in the Lewisburg area. Investigators said Keen was spotted at Walmart in Lewisburg.
The Richlands Police Department, U.S Marshal’s, and the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department are working to locate Keen.

Investigators believe Joshua Keen, who escaped custody of Richlands Police on Friday, March 29, was seen Sunday, March 31, in West Virginia.
Keen was reportedly spotted in the Jolo area of McDowell County, WV around 12:50 p.m. on March 31. Investigators believe Keen is driving a mid-1990s Ford flatbed, possibly F250, with Virginia tags. A fuel tank is also believed to be on the flatbed. Keen is suspected to be the only driver in the truck.
Investigators are offering a $2,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of Joshua Keen.

Richlands Police are searching for an inmate who escaped custody Friday, March 29.
According to the police department, Joshua Adam Keen, escaped custody from a regional jail corrections officer at the Clinch Valley Medical Center. It happened around 5:15 p.m. March 29.
Keen was last seen wearing a red jump suit.
