FLUVANNA COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A 2.3 magnitude earthquake was recorded by the United States Geological Survey Monday morning.

The quake occurred a little after 8:15 a.m. and was located just west of the township of Columbia in Fluvanna County.

The depth of the quake was recorded as 10.4 km (6.5 miles).
