(WRIC) — After thousands of suggestions and nearly 1,500 votes for their names, the Virginia State Police introduced the newest K9s added to their team, Liberty and Justice, on Thursday.

The announcement, made on Virginia State Police’s first Instagram post, has excited locals and has gotten more than a hundred likes since being put online before noon on Dec. 13.

State Police says there were 3,300 name suggestions for the two 11-week-old Bloodhound puppies and after almost 1,500 votes, the K9 unit doesn’t have to call the pair “Girl Puppy” and “Boy Puppy” anymore.

Liberty and Justice will begin training in March.
