The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office is participating in a new initiative formed by a Kentucky Sheriff.

G.O.A.T.S. stands for ‘Get Out and Try Smiling.’ As part of the new program, each deputy will be issued a therapeutic goat to help in high-stress situations.

The program was born when Kentucky deputies had continuous problems with two cousins who acted with no consideration toward the law.

Effective immediately, each Pulaski County deputy will have a therapeutic goat with them throughout their entire shift.
