STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) – Staff Sergeant David Rescott of the United States Marine Corps returned home after a 10-month deployment to Kuwait to surprise his son, Jackson, in his classroom Friday.

Dressed as Santa Clause, Ssgt. Rescott visited the first-grade class to read a book. When it came Jackson’s turn to tell Santa what he was wishing for, he said he wanted his dad home for Christmas.

Much to his son’s surprise, Ssgt. Rescott began removing his disguise, piece by piece until Jackson recognized him.

After their emotional reunion, the two have much catching up to do, including wrestling matches and video game tournaments.
