PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — An officer from the Prince William County Police Department got quite the scare after spotting what they believed to be a live tiger scrounging for food from the trashcans behind a county shopping center.

Luckily, for the officer and the general public, the tiger was fake. “Note to business owners, when disposing of realistic, life-size animal statues, please do so with caution,” the department’s Facebook post read.

In the Facebook post, the Prince William County Police Department pokes fun at the “shock” the officer felt when they realized “this little guy was harmless.”
