Wu-Tang Clan, Bastille to perform at new-look Virginia Credit Union LIVE! concert venue

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond Raceway unveiled Friday a $500,000 redevelopment to its 6,000-seat Virginia Credit Union LIVE! concert venue.

“The new capital investment in Virginia Credit Union LIVE! will modernize the fan experience and ensure the future of the only covered amphitheater in RVA for the next generation of concertgoers,” Richmond Raceway President Dennis Bickmeier said in a release.

The redevelopment plans include a new ‘Bud Light Patio’ party deck, updated public restrooms and padded ‘flexible seating’ that can be removed to offer more standing room.

“The new removable padded seats in the front half of the venue will provide flexible seating options for the amphitheater to offer reserved seating, general admission seating or standing pit area.”

Among those scheduled to perform this summer are Bastille, Wu-Tang Clan, Weird Al Yankovic and The Avett Brothers. CLICK HERE for a full list of upcoming performances.

“With an amazing slate of shows announced, we look forward to welcoming fans back for one of the best concert seasons in the history of the venue.” — Richmond Raceway President Dennis Bickmeier

The raceway partnered with Anheuser-Busch, Bold Rock Cider, Devils Backbone and Brown Distributing to create the new ‘The Bud Light Patio’ party deck.
