RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Richmond Spiders Basketball team earned their first win of the young season Wednesday morning as they defeated St. Francis Brooklyn 88-66.

The Spiders return to action on Friday when they host IUPUI and after that, they head to Florida for the Fort-Meyers-tip-off, where one senior Richmond Spider will have a happy homecoming.

It won’t be the first time that Julius Johnson has played in the sunshine state with the Spiders.

This is Richmond’s first game in Florida since Johnson’s freshman year in December of 2015 when they fell to the Florida Gators in Gainesville.
